Berco: a reliable Partner, always by the Customer's side

Berco organized a series of highly appreciated technical seminars in Vietnam, Malaysia and Singapore.

In the current industrial and business world, characterized by the growing competitiveness of the emerging economies and the opening up of new markets, after—sales services and customer support are taking on an increasingly strategic importance. On-site presence, technical support and training are ever more requested by dealers and end users alike, thus giving Berco a more forceful role in the global undercarriage technology scenario and conveying the idea of a reliable, solid company with the experience required both to guide the customer in the choice of product and to provide the necessary after—sales service. For some time now, Berco has been taking steps to strengthen these activities, by organizing ”technical visits” to customers and holding product training seminars. On this subject, in order to meet the needs of customers in the mining industry, an area of particular interest to Berco, a visit was organized in March this year for customers in Vietnam, Malaysia and Singapore, in collaboration with the local dealer, USG. The program involved four technical seminars (the first of these aimed at managers and staff on important mining sites), two on—site machine inspections (one of these on an operational site in the Borneo jungle) and numerous meetings with customers. The experience was a positive one and much appreciated by dealers and customers alike. The importance of using a reliable product was discussed, in order to guarantee a lower failure rate and a consequent reduction in downtime. Also, the growing problem of Berco imitations was dealt with, as cases of this are being discovered more and more frequently by dealers in the countries concerned.

Berco’s technical experience in the functional assessment of undercarriage systems emerged during the machine inspections, which, as well as providing feedback on the performance of Berco undercarriages in different working conditions, also served the purpose of teaching users the correct operating and maintenance procedures. The general market outlook was discussed, with dealers and customers expressing their opinions on the current situation and their forecasts for future trends. This made it possible for us to gather useful data for defining future strategies for obtaining greater competitiveness and economic benefits.
